My microwave tends to continue running after the door is shut. We finally figured out that we only need to push up on the door to stop it. But, I am concerned that pushing up on the door every time will eventually cause the door to break. What is wrong with my microwave? Can you help?

Could you elaborate more on the problem? When you say it runs when the door is shut, does the timer still have time left on it or has the time ran out?

Since your model mounts under the counter, it may be worth fixing. BUT, microwaves are very dangerous to work on if you aren't sure what you're doing. There is enough electricity stored up inside to seriously injure you. Best to leave microwave repair to trained professionals.

I have the same model and the same problem. What happens is that the microwave tends to keep running under various circumstances, such as if you open the door before the time is done, clear and close the door. Often it keeps running without time indicating on the panel. The solution I use is to cycle the logic unit by entering more time, hitting start and then stop again. It seems like a microprocessor programming problem. Haven't found a better solution than this yet either.
