I have old oak floors that were refinished about 6 years ago. They still look great, but the filler between the boards is coming out in some areas. The gaps are up to 1/8". Can the filler be replaced, stained and sealed without refinishing the complete floor?

It is not recommended that the gaps between boards be filled. Boards expand and contract as temperature and humidity levels fluctuate in the home. This expansion and contractions occurs mostly across the boards rather than the length. The expansion and contraction will cause fillers to fail and pop out and look unsightly.
