I recently purchased a new Brinks BHS 3101 keypad to add as a second keypad in my system. I ran the wire (left by the Brinks installer) and connected it to the main system just like the existing one. I'm getting power to the new keypad as it beeps when I hit buttons but there is nothing on the display and it does not control the system. Does anybody know what I need to do to get the system working?

Did you power the system down before connecting the new keypad? If not, try a power cycle and see what happens, it my just need to reset supervision.
If that doesn't work, tell us what kind of system you have - you may not be able to do anything, as Brinks requires a special programming keypad.
Good luck!
