My shower faucet is the pull-out, crystal type: pull out to open up valve; turn left for hot, right for cold. This mechanism has become increasingly more difficult to pull (as if the lubricating grease is caking up). How do I repair it so that brute strength is not needed to "pull" the water on? Thanks in advance.

You will have to disassemble the handle and lube with plumbers grease.Make sure the water supply is off before you begin.Good luck.
