Getting ready to lay over 700 sq ft of 3/4 in oak flooring. Looking for the right nailer. Manual or pneumatic?

Any other tips on picking the right nailer?

Thanks!!

Check at your local rental store. Most folks in my area use the manual nailer. That may be because the pneumatic ones cost so much. If using a pneumatic, you will need to make sure the pressure setting is correct.

Air nailer is much eaier to use...Well worth it....Might work out better to buy the compressor and sell it off when the floors completed or to borrow/rent/trade for use time for one from a friend. Rack as much of the area as possible before bringing home the rental tools....

Use Pneumatic; and buy it. It'll probably be cheaper:

There might even be a Harbor Freight near you if you live in or near California.

huesv,

I have a 6 gallon air compressor so I won't be out that expense. Since you mention Harbor Freight, we have one here in Austin, TX and also found they have an air nailer.

How would this one compare to the name brand nailers.
