I have a 10 year old shower stall with a Delta single handle faucet. I am getting leaky water out of the showerhead and think that the problem would be in the faucet itself. I went to a store expecting I need a gasket and was sold a replacement cartridge.
I opened up the package and started reading the instructions. It said they recommended a plumber be called it to do this.
Is it really that complicated or difficult or risky? The store had only one style of cartridge, so there is a chance I might not have the right one for this unit.
I have replaced a sink faucet before and repaired a leaky toilet, but have never been inside a shower faucet.
Thanks for the help

Delta is "covering their butt" by saying it should be installed by a plumber. That way, if you screw it up they can go back to the instructions and say " Told you so". Just follow the included instructions and you should be fine. Good luck.
