I have a 23 foot SeaRay with old, partially chipping bottom paint that I'd like to remove (not replace). What's the best way to remove bottom paint without sanding?

Here's a pic of the current bottom paint:

A 3800 psi pressure washer works . Dont get to close to it

Would it do anything to the finish?

Some of the bottom paint is pretty well dissolved in, but the rest like I said is almost flaking off.

I just don't want to hurt the finish under the bottom paint. Should I reapply anything after removing the bottom paint?

Might go to http://www.defender.com

Id think put a white Awlgrip on it after you have it clean. Are they have many interlux paints that you can use.

OK, I used a 3500 psi pressure washer and here are my results:

The remaining paint seems pretty stuck on there. Any suggestions on removing the leftovers?

I just sand a little so its flat and go for awlgrip or you can go for a full Gelkote white on it.
