I am looking to mount a tv outdoors. There isn't enough of an overhang on the house to make it totally waterproof. Does anyone know if somebody makes a weatherproof "box" for tv's outdoors? If not, the suggestions so far on what to use for the box are plastic or aluminum.

It's really not a good idea.
I've run cable lines to patios and deck areas, but it's mainly for smaller tv's that can be carried back in out of the weather.
You'd need a totally watertight box which also means covering the screen area too. I'm not sure what would work 100%. Water usually finds it's way in!
