I am replacing a sink and faucet set in my bathroom vanity. Everything has gone well until....I dropped the sink in and the drainpipe extends about 1 inch into the trap pipe. It does not extend into the curve section of the trap. Can I continue as is or do I need to shorten the drain pipe?

Should be no problem.
Just tighten the slip nut of the trap onto the tailpiece.
Good Luck!
