Over concrete with no subfloor. Let's see if I have this correct. Three choices: nailed, glued, and floating.
If I go with floating, what are the best brands available and what major problems might I encounter. Thanks.

Over concrete, you only have 2 choices. Glued or floated.

Kahrs. They are the pioneers in the businesss of floating floors and continue to offer the best quality out there. Problems? Most of them are usually a result of no attention to floor prep/not having a flat subfloor to work with---and failure to allow necessary expansion areas.

I agree, sliced cut wood with a u.v. cured acrylic urethane cannot be beat.
