My angle stop valve is leaking and I had a plumber come out who said it had to be replaced. He was going to charge me $95 to fix it and I said no. Can anyone give me any tips on how to fix it.

What type of pipe is this angle stop on? Copper? Soldered? Threaded?
If it's on copper pipe, you can just get a new compression fitting (no soldering) angle stop and replace it yourself.
If it's on threaded pipe, you can get a threaded angle stop, and use teflon tape on the threads to seal it.
Give us more information and we can tell you how. Just come back on this same thread and ask.
Good luck!
