I have a toilette in the office that when flushed it gives off a pretty loud sound that I can best describe as a whistle. I have heard this from other toilettes in other places from time to time.
Is there a simple way this can be quieted without having to change the entire fixture?
Is this sound caused by the valve inside or some other part?
Thanks

It's caused by the tank water valve.
Replace it with a Fluidmaster 400A float cup type (about $8 bucks). Just follow the directions that come with it. Easy.
Good Luck!
