i want to lay some turf down, but have cracked concrete in the area that i want to lay it down. is it wise to just put topsoil on top of this concrete then lay down the turff on this or dig up the concrete? the digging is more of a difficult task. wanted to know if anyone knows if the first option would be ok?

Quit looking for the easy way out and dig up the concrete. :rolleyes:
Chris says it best...All the easy ways of doing things have been taken. :D

By the way, I busted up an old driveway and used the irregular chunks as pavers for a patio- looks very similar to slate or flagstone.

Putting topsoil of concrete will indded allow grass to grow. But you will have roots only as deep as the soil is. Shallow root systems mean less healthy turf and grass that will die under the hot sun and low rain days of summer.
