I am using Mohawk Congoluem Underlayment for my moisture barrier between the concrete slab and engineered wood floor. I just cut the first piece and started questioning which side should be "up". The shiny side or the rougher.

I know that the adhesive will stick better to the rough side, but adhesive will be on both sides. I searched Mohawks web site and can only find info on a foam underlayment.

Thanks,
Michelle

Not sure about the rough or smooth part but the side that is left up as you roll this stuff out is the proper side that you would leave exposed. So check the roll and you will be able to tell what side is up

That would make it shiny, smooth side down. I am happy I stopped. I only cut one piece wrong.

Thanks,
