I have a inboard/outboard mercuiser; recently I noticed that when I fill the fuel tank that gas begins to leak out the drain opening; also, when operating the boat on water, smoke begins to come from the lower unit with the smell of fuel. I have not been able to locate a leak in the tank or gas lines. Any sugesstions for this do-it-yourselfer?

if u can't find the leak, take it to a shop. don't run the boat till the leak is fixed. you're treading on dangerous waters, running a boat with a fuel leak. sheesh!
