my tv is about 7 years old. yesterday, after flickering for a few seconds, the picture went completely black/dead. thing is, there is still perfect sound and i am able to change channels (so i hear) witht the remote. any thoughts? thanks in advance! :)

I wish someone would answer this thread. I'm having the same problem with my Sanyo 16". :confused:

if this is a d.v. crt tv i would check the resistors off the collector of the horizontal output i.c. sometimes they burn away from the board.
