I would like to put up drywall on the cement walls in my basement. How do I go about doing that? I heard that I need to put up "vapor walls" or something like that onto the cement first. How do I do that? thanx.

Normally you would add 2x4 framing to the walls, then attach drywall to that framing. The vapor barrier would be put up before the 2x4 framing is put up (or at the same time) so that it is between the framing and the cement wall.

If you have a situation where you cannot frame the wall for some reason - such as by a stairway that must maintain a minimum width, you can put sealant on the cement wall, then use Liquid Nail to glue the drywall to the cement. (I had to do this, it works well - just remember that you can't put any long screws through this...)
