Hey guys,

A little help before I make my investment.

1) What is the difference between Hartco and Bruce woods? They are both made by Armstrong, yet what are their differences? Is one better than the other?

2) I've read everywhere and I've seen it for myself that the Engineered wood is layered and is great for sub-floors. Is 7 layers better than 5 layers, or better than 3 layers. I've seen multiple layers of wood, and I don't know what to decide on.

Please help me!

Thanks

Dan

Well... they claim they're(Hartco and Bruce) getting better at what they do but I haven't been impressed with them lately. Look around--there are better brands for the same money thesedays.

Ply layers--Yup that is a confusing one. Frankly I don't see the difference unless you're using radiant heat--BUT the claim is more dimensional stability as you get into more plys.
