I just finished installing my DSC 832 alarm. All is functional, however the count down (delay for exiting and entrance) is set at about 2 minutes! I've read the programming books, however can not find the codes to change the timing. Can anyone help me?

Yes, all DSC panels default to a 2 minute exit delay, for reasons that make sense to them, alone. (It may be some Canadian UL standard).
It's in section 005. The way the programming sheet is laid out, it's really easy to overlook it.

Thanks. I found section 005 in the Programming worksheet, however I still am not quite clear on how the Entry and Exit Delay can be adjusted.
I've entered, *8, programming code, 005,..... then from here I get stuck.

You enter the desired number of seconds delay in each entry. There are 4 numbers Entry delay 1, Entry Delay 2, Exit Delay and siren cutoff.
You enter the number of seconds desired using 3 digits for each entry (siren cutoff is minutes). The important ones for you are Entry 1 and Exit delay. For the other two, just re-enter the default number.

So, if I understand you correctly....
I enter *8, programming code, 005, time in seconds (Entry Delay 1), default time (Entry Delay 2), time in seconds (Exit Delay), default time (Siren Cutoff)
Is this correct?

Yup, unless you feel a need to change any of the other settings. There is a way to step through the blocks, but it's actually just as fast to simply enter the data.
