I moved into a house with a Security Dimensions SD-300 system. The SK5LC keypads recently started beeping and showing "Low Battery", so I replaced the 5-year old battery. In the process I found that the user code provided by the previous owner worked fine to arm and disarm the system.
Upon replacing the battery and hooking up the keypads, I continue to get a beeping sound and a message "COMM FAILURE" shows. The users code does not seem to work now, but the zone integrity shows on the keypad displays.
Any ideas how to get into the system and clear up the problem?
By the way, I have accessed the on-line tech description based upon one of your other equiries.
Thanks.
