i just bought a 42 inch grand wega about a month ago. i've encountered 2 problems so far, and i was wondering if anyone had any ideas. the first is that on certain HD channels, there is what appears to be a static line that runs right across the top of the screen. happens on some HD channels but not on others.
the second problem, which is more recent, is that there is a flicker on top of the screen, about 2 inches in width.
any help?

Philkay,
I've got the KF-50WE610v ----- LOVE IT!
I've seen what you mean "static line that runs right across the top of the screen". It has also showed up on other HD sets, and is about normal.
One suggestion was to just slightly raise the screen to remove it if it annoys you. (Menu - Screen).
Maybe(Sr. Moment) I did that cuz I haven't seen it lately.
I'm not sure about your flicker problem. I had some tiny green bars across my screen top and they were cured when I added a DVI cable as opposed to the component video cable.
I'd call your dealer and or call Sony direct on that problem.
good luck.
In the meantime- Enjoy That Sony
