Would someone please list all the problems you might have whenever you overfill with oil in a small engine.

Oil leakage from the breather tube; polluting the air filter with oil (if the breather tube connects to the cleaner housing); billows of blueish smoke from the muffler (heavier on vertical crank engines); fouling of the spark plug(s); a general messy situation possibly coating drive belts (depending on application); possibility of polluting the carburetor bowl with oil; and a possibility of failure to turn the engine over as a result of oil in the combustion chamber.
