I have an exterior light with a motion sensor and a 'daylight sensor'. Once it get dark it goeas on and keeps getting turned on constantly.

Can the sensor be bad? Am I better off replacing everything?

thanks,

Is this light on a switch? Are there more than one light on the same switch?

I know there are other things on the circuit. But this light has been there for about 2 years and this just started happening last night. The light keeps going on as if there is something there. I checked a couple of times and there wasn't anything there.

Also, there isn't a switch for the light, it has constant power.

Probably best to just replace the fixture.

Was it windy? Tree or shubs blowing in the wind will trigger it. Is there a heat source that might be triggering it?

I replaced the entire fixture and it works fine. I think the sensor went bad. A replacement sensor costs $20, the entire fixture cost $12. So I replaced the fixture.
