I purchased a Hunter Grand Lodge Fan (model 23530) last year and everything was installed properly and has worked perfectly. The remote changes the speed of the fan, reverses the direction and dims the light or cuts it off or back on with no problems.
I have replaced several bulbs this past year in the light fixture with no change in operation. However this weekend I replaced one bulb, same wattage, and now the remote dimmer function will not cut the light out and will only dim it about 2/3rds the way down and then pops back to full brightness.
I can't run the fan without the light being on now.
The one wall switch will cut all power to the fan. There are no pull chains on this fan nor any external switches.
I am at my wits end...
Please help - I hate the prospect of having to take it down and return it or replacing it with another fan.

I am posting a reply although I do not have an answer; but I will share this anyway;
when I was installing my ceiling fan I remember reading the directions saying make sure the fan is manully set on high before you use the remote; and it warned not to pull the cord while fan had power going to it( the blades are not spinning yet the fan has power going to it; need total disconnect ) or you risk damaging the remote module. and since i had no wall switch for fan I had to walk to basement to turn off power and pull cord and if it wasnt the high setting I had to run to basement again to shut off power then walk up to pull cord, etc. until I was sure it was on high. then I removed the cord so it wouldnt be accidentaly pulled in future.
but you are saying the fan has no cords so there is nothing to pull thus no damage.

Greetings
Hunter fan installed by myself......dont remember the model
Bought a remote control unit seperatefrom the fan and instructions in the fan or the remote was not clear as to how the two were suppose to be wired. I figured it out on an assumption and was correct. Everything works great However I cannot figure out ow to make the dimmer work andy ideas?
Here is the real issue however. After about 3 mths of use the remote seams to allow the fan or light turn on at will. Mostly the light will turn on at random at any point of the day or night.
Occasionally it will turn on the fan and even more rarely it will turn on both.
A solution to this problem would like to be known. Love everything about the products but when the light comes on in the middle of the night and youre not ready its like your going to be interogated about something.

Sounds like you are getting interference from some other RF source. Before you installed the remote, did you create your own code with the DIP switches that should be located on both the receiver and transmitter?? If not, try that. They are factory set, and on a very common frequency that is utilized by other RF devices.
