I want to use some bullrushes as a decorative accessory. What do I do to them to keep them from exploding? Any thoughts would be appreciated. :cool:

Oops. Some people call them bullrushes but in actuality they are commonly referred to as "cattails".

they explode??? wow.......clearly this is something i know nothing about!!! i'm going to move this to a different forum where someone will undoubtedly be able to help you better than i!!!! ;)

Once the bullrush or cattail is completely dry, spray it with some clear lacquer, clear Krylon spray, or hair spray.
