Recently we have discovered we have tounge and groove ceilings and walls that have been covered with drywall. How do I go about restoring the t & g to its original appearance? Thanks for all your help :)

You may find that in the ceiling, this may be covering stains from past roof leaks, as well as damage from attachment which can be incorporated in a design style referred to as distressing. You may wish to be selective in the percentile of exposure.

What condition is the paneling in? Do you want to paint it, stain it, or finish natural?

We have 2 rooms that are t & g and would like to match the stain in these rooms. So definately staining. The t&g is already painted white (ugg). I'm wondering, should we just do the ceiling, or both walls and ceiling. I don't want to make it too dark, but love the t& g look.
