I have a cathedral ceiling in my bathroom - ie plasterboard fixed directly to the rafters with battens and metal roofing on top. There is a batten light fitting in the middle of the room which I want to replace with a 3-in-1 light/heat/exhaust unit. How can I do this? What do I need to fix on the roof to waterproof the fitting but allow it to exhaust?

Thanks for your help
Nathan

Are you near an outside wall there?"metal roof " Id try and run the vent pipe to the over hang not try and go up through the metal roof now. youcould cut the dry wall out and put it back.

It is near an external wall, but I wanted to avoid going that way because it goes out onto a deck (probably won't look the best). Was hoping there was an easy way to go out through the roof, or maybe duct through the small space in the roof to the eaves??

I mean cut the drywall out in the ceiling run the vent pipe to the over hang and a vent out in the overhang. put the drywall ceiling back. Not put the fan in the outside wall.
