Been searching for a possible fix to our aggregate patio.
When our addition was done in 1981'ish, 2x4's were laid on edge for forms were aggregate concrete was poured for the patio.
Over time, the 2x4's rotted out (of course) and I replaced them all, treated them with creosote (not the best solution)..and now, of course over time, many (2x4's) have rotted.
I am looking at other possiblilites to fill the 2x4 joints with something more durable.
Some of the 'slabs' have raised and/or dropped, due to expansion/contracton over the winters. So the patio has its ups n downs at the joints.
I was thinking of 'blacktop/ashphalt' for the joints... or maybe just some small pebbles...or something or that sort.
...
Any suggestions for a fix?
Id rather not go the wood route....again..
What do you think???
TIA
