For the DSC 1500, is there any way to have the system dial out only once rather than 8 times? I'm directing it to call my cell phone. (I would know that a silent call from my own home would be an alarm). Thx!

Nope, a quick read of the program map tells me that the 8 call counter is hardwired. There doesn't seem to be an adjustment. These are pretty basic panels. They are intended to be monitored or local, period. An add on voice dial unit will do as you wish.
