I am just looking for any general information or tips for building an outdoor fire pit. Currently, I'm thinking of digging a circle about 10-12" below ground, pouring a few inches (2-4") of concrete, then building up with bricks around the outside and have the bricks in a circle come up 6-8" off the ground making it half in/half above ground. Does this sound like it would be ok as long as I use the "fire brick"? Any info is greatly appreciated.
