I need a new throttle-ignition side mount unit for my 1986 Evinrude outboard. The one I have is falling apart and I would like to find a similar one to order online. Anyone know of a place to get them, and are there electrical or mechanical restrictions when matching new throttle controls and ignitions with old motors??

Try Vintage Outboard. I am not sure of the E-address, but if you do a search on google I am sure it will pop up. Your best bet for the Item you seek is a marine salvage place. I have rebuilt mine a couple of times ( should have used lock-tite).
