I own a Victorian home that has no fireplaces. It was built in 1890 so obviously the fireplaces have been covered over. I would like to find these fireplaces and restore them for decorative purposes. I already know where one is in the parlor because the chimney bybbles out on the other side of the wall in the dining room. My question is how would I go about finding the others and how do I take down the wall in just the area needed without completely ruining it. Also, what type of tool is recommended for chipping away at the wall?

In the attic, locate the chimmneys.
Find a local "period" restoration service.
