I readily admit I am a novice at carpentry. I apologize beforehand if the answers to my questions are obvious.

I am installing metal wall brackets and wood shelving in my pantry. I don't want to gouge myself on the sharp corners when I enter the pantry. What's the easiest way to cut a rounded corner? Is there a special tool required or can I get the job done with the basics? I am using 3/4" MDF with a rounded front edge. Thanks!

Probably the simplest way would be to sand down the corners with some 100 grit aluminum oxide sand paper or a coarse mill file. MDF sands readily without splintering. Once you have the profile, simply painting the shelves will provide a smooth surface.

Hope this helps.
