How often should a driveway be sealed? I have heard from one asphalt contractor that it should be done yearly and other says every two years. Any suggestions

It depends what you are sealing it with and how its applied. I brush a sealer on every 4 years. I do not like using a squeegees because they tend to let too much sealer sit and after a few applications the whole driveway will start to look like a huge spiderweb style crack. Not to mention the driveway gets really smooth and it slippery. Most contractors will tell you to wait a year after installation to apply the 1st sealer.
