When the air conditioning runs, and immediately when it goes off, I hear the sound of water running/dripping. Someone told me I have "water in the plenum". My registers are in the floor, has it leaked in from outside somehow? What should I do about it? And, more important, is it damaging to my system?

On a lot of units, when it shuts off, the refrigerant continues to circulate thru the cooling coil and tubing until the pressures equalize. It sounds like water running/gurgling. Maybe this is what you're hearing?
