Does anyone know a source for hexagonal (six-sided) wooden dowels or cutouts?
They need to be at least 1/2-inch wide (preferably wider), 1/8-inch thick (preferably thicker), and they should not have a hole in the middle.
Metal, plastic, ceramic or glass also would be acceptable (same dimensions, no hole). If the item was a sturdy enough material, it would be okay if it were less than 1/8-inch thick.
Obviously someone could be paid to custom cut something like this, but cost is an issue there.
A hexagonal dowel would be perfect, as slices of the desired thickness could simply be cut as needed.
Thanks.

If you could use plastic nylon, you can get hex bar in different widths at www.mcmaster.com.
Do a search at their site for plastic to get started.
