I want to put concrete steps on the front of my house. What kind of concrete should I use? Should I add stone, ext.... to add strength? It will only contain two steps each step being 12 inches high and 4 1/2 feet wide. Thanks for the information.

You can use a Premixed Concrete to pour your Steps. Yes get the mix that has gravel in it. On a side note, 12" seem awfully high for a "Riser". If you have 2' feet to work with I would suggest 3 Steps with 8" "Risers"
