Had a Peterson unvented gas log set installed two years ago into a metal pre-fab opening by licensed gas fitter. Installed brass "deflector" above.
Considerable resideue left on wallpaper above, and also on windows in the large family room. Service Tech says burning OK. Mfg said that these suck any vapors/dust/cat hair etc. into them and burn them, leaving some residue..suggests opening a window. Saw posts suggesting not installing vent free. Any solution welcome, including taking this one out and puttiing in a vented one. Thank you in advance. William
