I have a concrete porch faced with brick. Apparently the bricks were not attached to the slab behind them in any way and there is a 1 inch gap in places between the bricks and concrete behind them. I'm afraid water is going to freeze in there and break them or just wear and tear will work the bricks loose. Can somebody recommend a good caulk or bonding agent that's flexible but will bond the bricks to the concrete behind them? Thanks for the help. Brian

There is an elastic sealer formulated for sealing such a gap in masonry. Check your HD or lowes in the caulk department. It is an elastomeric compound for sealing ecpansion joints in poured concrete.
