Just noticed that fuse in sprinkler control station was burnt out. Replaced the fuse but discovered it burnt out again. Check all wire connections in box and found all were tight and isolated. Could a worn or detached wire at one of the sprinkler valves cause the fuse to go south? Thanks.

Any short in the system, or a loose rusted ground can also cause a fuse to blow. If you can unhook and bring one at a time back on line, this can save time in finding the problem.
