Gardening and Horticulture - Transplanted White Oaks

Two weeks ago, I helped out my neighbor by digging out three White Oak trees that had grown to a height of 5' to 6' on the east side of his house. (Apparently, squirrels had buried acorns next to the house, and the trees were now beginning to encroach upon the eaves of the roof.) I planted the trees in the open area of my yard. It seems that exposure to full sun and the wind, as well as the shock of being transplanted in July, has caused the leaves to dry out and become "leathery". (I live in zone 5/6)

Is there any hope for these trees, and if so, is there anything that I can do to help them through these summer months?

i would get some root stimulator and follow the label. also at this point about all you can do is keep them moist. dont let them get too dry. some times trimming a little of the top growth will help. if you got enough root ball you should be ok.
