I hope someone can help. I have no idea how to turn the buzzer on my dryer off and I cannot shut the door without it buzzing constantly. Is this a serious problem or is there a way to simply turn the buzzer off completely. The heat turns off it's just the buzzer and I hoping this is minor.
Thanks in advance!! (this site is cool.) :o

It could be several things. The timer might have burnt contacts inside that are stuck together causing the power to stay on to the buzzer. It could be a wire that has melted in the harness making a new circuit to the buzzer or it could be the start button is stuck inside. Does your dryer start by itself if the door is shut and you turn the timer to a timed cycle, without pushing the start button? If so you have a bad start switch. If you just want to stop the buzzing you could disconnect the buzzer's two wires. If you do make sure and insulate them so they can't short to the shell or each other or anything else. I hope this helps. Doc E
