I have a small apartment. in the kitchen area i have a natural gas stove and a natural gas furnace. if i dont hvae a fan on, the apartment smells strongly like natural gas. i was wondering if there are any products or tricks i could employ to remove or absorb the smell.

sounds like you have a leak, i would call the gas company. if it is not in the gas supply line, the flue may be obstructed

Call the gas co.
We had a flex line behind our stove leaking. I couldn't smell it but my wife could. I pulled the stove out and it started blowing wild. Luckily I shut it off quick enough. I've seen houses blown to pieces because of gas leaks.

Get a bottle of the kids bubble stuff and go over any and all gas units in the home there to see if you have a leak.
