Hi,
I have an Amana Electric Dryer LE8517W2 that over dries the clothes
on the auto cycle. Here's what I've done:
o Cleaned the vent
o opened up botton cover and cleaned interior
It works fine on the timed settings, heat is fine, delicate heat is fine,
drum spins. Its just the auto cycle. I haven't been able to locate a
moisture sensor in the schematic. I see a temp sensor and temp sensor
heater in the exhaust side but no moisture sensor by itself.
By the way, why does the temp sensor need a heater?
THanks!
Ed

Hello ED. Welcome to the Do-It-Yourself Web Site.
Most likely the timer is defective in that one more often used cycle. Not all machines have a moisture sensor.
Retail appliance parts dealers can also help determine what the possible problem may be. Bring the make, model and serial numbers. Appliance part stores and parts dealers are listed in the phone book.
