Hello,
Any day now I will be installing a new double sink in my kitchen, and a new dishwasher.. When I was at HD picking up supplies, a customer who is a plumber helped me get what I needed, and showed me how to assemble the pipes. He has me using two p-traps, but everything I've seen shows two sinks joined using one p-trap. I would appreciate any advice. Thanks!

Use one trap.(Check with your Building Inspection Department for local code to verify.)
Use a dw drain connection tailpiece nearest the dw, and put the trap under it on that side.
Good Luck!
Mike
