i just had 2 toilets replaced, and now there is a 1.5" gap or so between the toilet and where the tile was. i can't get any more of the tile cuz its 20 years old. anything i can do or buy to cover that up?

Well, this is the major reason why new flooring needs to be run under existing fixtures but that's water under the bridge.

You can get any type of similar thickness tile, run it to the new toilet, then simply paint the tile floor with an epoxy based paint.

That's one quick and dirty way to deal with the problem.

In our last place we had a similar problem. We tore out enough tile to make a half-circle around the toilet back to the wall and replaced it with a contrasting color. It looked pretty spiffy.
