I'm looking for an electronic fresh air damper that opens when the gas furnace is on. I hate having a 4" duct open from outside all year round, especially when it's -40C outside!

Can anyone recommend where to get one, or if this is a bad idea?

Regards,
Brent

For a large store or building I say yes we use them all the time. For a home have tried them but not worth it .

why not a barometric damper that is pulled open by the airflow? (opposite of a backdraft damper), much cheaper and easier to install

if you want it in heat only, install a manual damper before it and open it only in heating season
