I'm (trying) to do an inexpensive redo of my old bathroom. My plan is to buy a tub surround, remove the vanity and toilet:put in new---and use beadboard on the walls...the present wall is tile - very tight - . Can I put beadb oard over the tiles or must I take them off? Plus, what do I do when I get to the corners? Beadboard is very thin and I'm sure doesn't take to beveling to fit.

You could put up the beadboard with construction adhesive over the tile. In the corners, butting the joints may be better than beveling.
