I have recently had a shower retiled and the stem is too short to reach the handle through the tile. Is there any type of extension or solution I can get to extend the stem about 1" so the handle will go on. I really dont want to have to break any tiles and reset the valve. The valve is an American Standard Williamsburgh Series 1041.229/224.
