I've installed a tile floor in my bathroom, and after placing the old toilet back onto the flange, noticed that it is not level. The floor is level, and it turns out that the toilet itself is crooked.
I would like to shim the toilet to make it level. However, now that the toilet is already sitting fully on the floor, will shimming one side break the wax seal with the flange (it needs about 1/8 inch shims)? Should I start over with a new wax seal and set the toilet onto the shims right from the start?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Hmmm...The floor is level....the toilet is sitting on the floor...but the toilet isn't level? Well...if you need to shim it 1/8th inch then I guess you have a toilet with an uneven base. You will be further ahead to replace the wax ring because if you lift one side of the toilet, you will probably create a problem.Once seated. the wax ring will not readjust to an upward plane. For looks, I guess you'll have to grout or caulk around the toilet base. Good luck and post back.
